Tax Matters Solutions is a tax resolution group based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They work for their clients to help clear up tax problems and set up payment plans to repay the IRS. The main goal was to increase web visits and convert them into clients. I explained to them that if we were to do Search Engine Optimization to increase the visits, it would be worthwhile to redesign the website. Their old website was outdated and was not serving it’s purpose. I worked with the guys at TMS to help design a solution that would better serve their goals. I have since left JH Specialty and am not responsible for any additions/changes to the website.

Call To Action
I asked the client what they were trying to achieve with their website. They came to the conclusion that we needed to convert more of their web visitors into clients. I noticed that their contact form was not being promoted. To solve this, I added a button on every page to the contact form. I also ensured that visitors knew the form was secure (ssl).
Flash Banner
The new website needed a fresh start. I started by adding some movement to the site. I designed 4 banners that would continuously rotate using flash. Not only would this help provide information about what they offer but also make the website more appealing.
Navigation
The navigation on the old site seemed to disappear, and there were no hovers to show that they were links. So, I featured the navigation in its own “block” and added a javascript hover effect.

Their new website is now ranking on the first page for all three of their main keywords. Here’s the work I did for this project:
